Bandung, July 25, 2026 – The Physics Study Program of Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) participated in the series of activities held during UNPAR Xperience 2026, which took place from July 20–25, 2026. The event brought together high school students from various schools across the Greater Jakarta area (Jabodetabek) and West Java, providing them with an opportunity to gain a closer look at university life and explore the academic programs offered at UNPAR.
As part of the event, the Physics Study Program organized a workshop entitled “Future Energy Lab: Physics for the Energy of Future” The workshop was designed to introduce participants to the crucial role of physics in the development of sustainable energy technologies, which are expected to become increasingly important in meeting the future needs of global society.
Through interactive sessions, participants were invited to explore how fundamental physics concepts underpin modern energy technologies, such as wind energy systems and micro fuel cells. In addition to gaining theoretical knowledge, students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and discussions on the challenges and opportunities associated with renewable energy development in response to the world’s growing energy demands.

The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm throughout the workshop. They actively asked questions, engaged in discussions, and explored innovative ideas that could be developed through scientific and technological approaches. The workshop not only broadened their understanding of future energy solutions but also highlighted the significant contribution of physics in addressing global challenges.

In addition to the workshop, the Physics Study Program also hosted a Physics Booth, which served as a platform for direct interaction between students, faculty members, and current Physics students. Through this booth, visitors were able to learn more about the various physics experiments and laboratory activities available within the Physics Study Program.
Both the workshop and the Physics Booth received very positive responses from the participants. Many students expressed a strong interest in the role of physics in advancing future technologies. It is hoped that the interactions and experiences gained during the event provided participants with a clearer understanding of the educational and career opportunities available in the field of physics.
The participation of the Physics Study Program in UNPAR Xperience 2026 reflects its commitment to promoting science among younger generations and inspiring them to contribute to technological advancements that benefit society. Through the theme “Future Energy Lab: Physics for the Energy of Future,” participants were encouraged to recognize that physics is not only the study of natural phenomena but also a fundamental discipline for building a more innovative and sustainable future.
The Physics Study Program at UNPAR hopes that the experiences gained by participants during UNPAR Xperience 2026 will foster curiosity, enthusiasm for learning, and a lasting interest in exploring science and technology as tools for addressing future challenges.
