Physics Teacher Training 2024 (PGF 2024)

PHYSICS LEARNING INNOVATION: “APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM

Monday–Wednesday, May 27–29, 2024
held offline at Parahyangan Catholic University, Jl. Ciumbuleuit No. 94, Bandung, and at PT Pudak Scientific

PGF is a biennial program organized by the Physics Department of UNPAR since 2006, with themes that vary according to the secondary school curriculum.

As we know, since 2022, the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek), Nadiem Anwar Makarim, has launched the Merdeka Curriculum for schools, including both junior and senior high levels. This curriculum is designed to be more concise, simple, and flexible, in order to address learning loss recovery due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is crucial to equip the main actors in education teachers to adapt and develop learning methods based on the Merdeka Curriculum so that learning objectives can be achieved.

The topics of electricity and magnetism are among the essential areas of science studied in junior and senior high schools. Both are closely related to the principles of machines, electronic devices, and gadgets that people use in today’s modern world.

This is what motivated us, the faculty members of the UNPAR Physics Department, to once again organize PGF 2024 as an offline event, with the theme:

“PHYSICS LEARNING INNOVATION: APPLICATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM.”

The specific aim of PGF 2024 is to enhance teachers’ competence in developing teaching materials related to the application of digital technology, particularly in the field of electricity and magnetism. In the long term, this program is expected to strengthen students’ competence and prepare them to face future challenges by making use of technological developments.

See you at PGF 2024 on May 27–29, 2024!
