As an effort to strengthen students’ understanding of the application of physics in the medical field, the Physics Student Association (HMPSFis) organized an industrial visit to PT Sugih Instrumendo Abadi on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The activity was attended by 35 participants, consisting of 32 students and 3 accompanying lecturers, and took place from 09:30 to 13:00 WIB.
PT Sugih Instrumendo Abadi is a medical device manufacturing company engaged in the production of sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, and patient monitors, with product distribution reaching not only the domestic market but also exported internationally.
The program began with a briefing on safety protocols while in the company area. It was followed by welcoming remarks from the Director of PT Sugih Instrumendo Abadi, Mrs. Kharisma Hidayat, and a representative from the Physics Study Program, Mrs. Yuanita.
During the main session, participants received a comprehensive explanation of the medical device production process, quality control systems, and technological innovations applied in the company’s product development.
During the visit, students also had the opportunity to try out the sphygmomanometer products manufactured by PT Sugih Instrumendo Abadi, and the event concluded with a group photo session.

Through this activity, it is expected that students not only gain direct field experience but are also increasingly motivated to develop their competencies and innovative spirit in the field of Medical Physics. This visit serves as an important foundation for building synergy between education and industry and encourages students to actively contribute technological solutions for advancements in healthcare.
