Community Service

As a tangible manifestation of the Physics Study Program’s contribution in addressing challenges faced by society, particularly in relation to physics education in schools, the program routinely carries out community service activities every year, targeting secondary school teachers and students. These activities also serve as contextual learning opportunities for students, who are actively involved in the process. In every community service initiative, we consistently collaborate with relevant industries. Through these activities, we aim to create a positive impact that can be directly experienced by our target communities. The following are examples of community service programs that have been continuously implemented by our Study Program.

  1. Physics Teacher Training (PGF)
Every two years, the Physics Study Program regularly organizes training sessions for secondary school physics teachers as a form of community service by the faculty members. Each training covers different topics but shares the same goal: innovating physics learning. The training may take the form of equipment assembly workshops, the use of teaching aids, or other types of demonstrations for teaching physics. 2. Incredible Physics (INDY)
The Physics Study Program not only focuses on teachers but also pays attention to school students. In the INDY activity, students are invited to appreciate and learn physics in a more engaging and enjoyable way together with experts in the field. This activity is also held every two years, alternating with the PGF program. Detailed information about this activity can be accessed through the following link INDY News
